Located a short 5 minute walk from the beach and a short bike ride from the Newport and Huntington Piers, this beach-centric home features 1,801 square feet of beautifully designed living space, plus a private patio with a gas fire pit and gas grill. Relax in a tranquil, quiet, air conditioned, well-appointed single story family vacation home. The open floor plan has been tastefully decorated and will provide a lot of interest. Tile floors and a stone-detailed gas fireplace welcome you into the open-concept living room. An elegant sectional and an armchair offer plenty of seating for socializing or movie night on the 50” TV.

A wine fridge and servery cabinet add to the understated rustic utility of the dining area. The large dining table with bench seating for 8 provides casual flexibility for eating, hosting parties, building puzzles or playing games. A four seat breakfast bar faces the kitchen for relaxed conversations when preparing food or just simply talking over a glass of wine. This single-story home accommodates up to six guests between the three bedrooms.

 

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Make yourself at home in a serene, East facing master bedroom, furnished with a king-size bed, a posh settee and a walk-in closet. The en-suite master bathroom is equipped with a double granite vanity and a walk-in shower.

Another king-size bed awaits in the second bedroom, while the third guest room has a queen-size bed and a desk.

The guest bathroom is appointed with a tub/shower combination, a spacious granite vanity and a wall mounted ironing board for your convenience.

Full Wi-Fi coverage is available throughout the home. The desk in the third bedroom provides a nice compact workspace that will allow a temporary office to be set-up. A color HP LaserJet printer/scanner and a limited supply of printer paper is available for small printing needs can be arranged at an extra charge.

The reading room has a diverse selection of books, a comfortable chair and ottoman, a 3 seat pull-out sleeper couch for unexpected guests, and a small gym which is equipped with a Bowflex M7 machine, weight bench and miscellaneous pieces of gym kit for your convenience (use at your own risk).

A secluded back patio has a gas BBQ, comfortable sectional furniture and a fire pit for relaxing evenings.

 

Parking and Laundry

The house has a full 2 car garage that is also equipped with state-of-the-art washer and dryer. Included in the garage are folding chairs, umbrellas and a cooler box for those beach days.

Additional parking can be found on the street in front of the house on a first come first served basis.

Three beach cruiser bikes are provided, and a neighborhood bike rental shop is a short walk away should different or additional bikes be needed.

 

Pools and Parks

A community pool, tennis courts and outdoor BBQ facility is 200 yards from the front door of the house. A well-equipped small park is located in the opposite direction for those with small children.

 

Restaurants and Markets

Five neighborhood restaurants and a coffee shop and two small general markets are all within a few minutes’ walk from the house. Larger supermarkets and pharmacies such as Trader Joes, Pavilions, Walgreens and Spouts are within a 5 minute drive. A neighborhood surf shop will cater to the needs of both avid and casual surfers.

For those that like fine dining, a wide variety of restaurants that include the Cannery, The Dock, The Winery, “A”’s, Louis’, Rusty Pelican, 21 Ocean Front. For more causal offerings, Sharkeys, Blackies and many more are a bike ride or less than 5 minutes away by car

 

The Location

This vacation home is close enough to all of the beachfront action without getting into the thick of things. With the sands of Newport Beach less than a quarter-mile from your door, this light-filled home promises an exceptional Southern California stay. Explore the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park in a 30-minute drive. This 43-acre wildlife preserve is home to rolling hills, trails, and an array of tree species.

The heralded Orange County Museum of Art has an impressive modern collection less than 8 miles away in Santa Ana. Balboa Pavilion dates back to the turn of the 20th century and offers waterfront dining, boat rentals, whale watching. For those wishing to go to Catalina Island, the Balboa Fun Zone is adjacent to the dock for the Catalina Flier for a fast crossing to Avalon on Catalina Island.
